OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı gazetecilik mesleği ile ilgili temel kavramları tanımlamaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriği gazetecilik mesleği, gazeteci kimliği, haber çeşitleri, haber yazma ve gazetecilik türleri konusunda teorik bilgileri kapsar.

Gazeteciliğin Osmanlı Devleti’nden itibaren geçirdiği evreler ile Türk medyasını oluşturan mecraların tarihini, arşivlerden elde edilen görüntülerin de yardımıyla anlatır.
Evrensel habercilik kaidelerini de dikkate alarak haberi ve haberciliğin etik değerlerini tanımlar.
Yazılı ve evrensel kaideler doğrultusunda gazeteciliğin etik değerlerini ve ilkelerini kendi bakış açılarıyla belirler.
Basılı medyaya ilişkin temel kavramları öğrenerek, görsel medyadan olan farkını ifade eder.
