OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to understand better the basic concepts of strategic management and to develop the competence of planning effective strategies for airlines in a competitive environment.
Contents of the Course Unit: Firstly, Strategic Management issues are explained. In this context, the basic elements of Strategic Management, the process and the analysis made in this context are covered. Then the competition of airlines, airline business models, airline alliances, airline passenger marketing, fleet planning, and the future of aviation are discussed.
