OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
This course aims to introduce the acceptability of customs legislation to be held by relevant countries regarding foreign trade practices and foreign trade regulation and regime of Turkey in a detailed way. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Contents of the course include a general view to customs legislation and basic concepts, binding tariff and binding origin information, customs tariff and position of goods in tariff headings, accrual, notification and payment of tariffs, exemptions and exceptions in customs duties, harbour and warehouse issues, penalties to be confronted after violation of liabilities, concept and content of free zone, effects of Customs Union on Turkish economics, effects of World Trade Organisation on Turkish Foreign Trade, Turkish Foreign Trade Regime on agricultural products and Turkish Foreign Trade Regime on industrial products. |

Define basic concepts regarding Customs Legislation and Turkish Foreign Trade Regime in detail |
Explain the acceptability of foreign trade activities to customs regime on the basis of laws |
Analyze effects of Customs Union on Turkish economy by benefitting from macroeconomic statistics |
Evaluate foreign trade regime applied for agricultural products over examples |
Evaluate foreign trade regime applied for industrial products over examples |
