Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to have general information about the importance of air logistics and hazardous goods transportation. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The contents of the course include the subjects such as Air transportation and basic concepts; activity process in airline companies; documents used in air transport, logistics management applications in airways, integration of supply chain activities in air transport, issues to be considered in air transport, types of cargo and specialised cargo products, definitions and basic concepts in hazardous material transportation, the safety obligations of the parties, classification of hazardous substances, transport, loading, unloading and handling conditions and mandatory rules, shipping procedures and marking rules, operational rules for handling equipment and personnel. |
