OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to teach students the basics of logistics and supply chain, to build models for solving supply chain and logistics problems and to develop various techniques.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as the Basic concepts; analysis of components of logistics and supply chains such as procurement, storage, production and distribution; planning and resource allocation; modelling and coordination of procurement, production and shipment activities and optimization of relations between mathematical modelling and numerical techniques.

Define the basic structure of supply chain management.
Define the main drivers of supply chain performance and their relationship with functions such as strategic, operational, procurement and marketing.
Critique the internal and inter-company coordination complexity.
Critique different supply chain strategies and practices.
Analyze the problems that occur during supply chain management.
