OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to enable students to interpret the price movements of investment instruments traded in financial markets by using the basic principles and analyzes on which the science of finance is based.
Contents of the Course Unit: It consists of financial statements analysis, market news and explanations, Dow Theory, linear, bar and candlestick charts, bear and bull formations, continuation and reversal patterns and technical indicators' concepts and applications.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Have a general knowledge about the structure of financial markets.
They can understand and interpret the effects of uncertainty and risk indicators in the markets on all kinds of financial instruments.
In addition to interpreting national and global news and macroeconomic statements, they can see how these indicators can have an impact on financial instruments.
They can make future price predictions by making use of past price movements.
