OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim of this course is to enable students to gain the ability to understand and interpret the developments in the world economy by using current international socio-economic indicators. At the end of the course, students will be able to analyze the causes and results of current economic developments. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of this course include; global economic indicators, balance of payments and foreign trade deficit, financial crises, central banks, monetary policy and interest rates, globalization, unemployment and income distribution, inflation, international trade and emerging markets. |
