OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Dersin amacı; öğrencilere istatistiğin temel kavramları hakkında bilgi vererek, yapacağı çalışmalarda verileri toplamak ve bu verilere uygun çözüm tekniğini uygulamak için gerekli bilgi ve becerileri aktarmaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriği, bir örneklem yardımıyla ana kütleye ilişkin çıkarımların yapılması durumunda istatistik “çıkarımsal istatistik” adını alır. Çıkarımsal istatistiğin genelde kullandığı yöntem tümevarım yöntemidir. Olasılık kuramına dayanan yöntemler ile ana kütleyi temsil eden bir örnekleme dayanarak elde edilen sonuçların ana kütleye yaygınlaştırılması ana kütleye ilişkin hipotezlerin testleri ve geleceğe ilişkin kestirimler bu tür istatistiğin konuları arasındadır.
