OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with competence to use the appropriate materials to cover the model of the aircraft, later to fly it after the installation and flight settings made.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as aircraft structures and aerodynamics, Model aircraft types, techniques and reading plans, Aircraft wing profile construction, Tail profile construction, Wing construction, Body parts preparation, Body-wing combining and balancing, Flight tests.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the basic concepts related to airplane structures and aerodynamics.
Define the model aircraft types and competition rules determined by the World Air Sports Federation.
Define basic materials and hand tools used in model aircraft.
Design a model aircraft using the theoretical knowledge learnt.
