OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to enable the student to evaluate social movements in a historical perspective, to reveal the relationship between social problems and social movements and to discuss the effects of social movements on the local and global levels with examples from history. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include; the definition of social movement, examples from history; labor movements, feminism, fascism and anti-colonial movements in the interwar period, 1968 transformation, new social movements and interpretation of new problems. |
