OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to continue Social Psychology I. Social psychology is a discipline that aims to understand how our emotions, behaviour and thoughts are affected by the social structure and process. The first part of a two-semester course focuses on social interaction. The relation of the theoretical framework with the social structure, and field research are conveyed through an intercultural perspective.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as "Interpersonal attraction, close relationships, interpersonal aggression, attitudes, social influence, persuasion and attitude change, harmony, leadership and power, group processes, organizational dynamics and environmental psychology".

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explains the field of social psychology and its relation with other social sciences.
Expresses the theoretical, methodological and ethical issues that direct social psychology research.
Uses the concepts and theories used to understand and analyse the social psychology subjects that are studied in this period.
Discusses that the knowledge of social psychology can help one to better understand oneself and others and to provide a stronger insight into social issues.
Considers the importance of differences between people.
