OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Antik Yunan ile 1789 Fransız Devrimi arasında kalan dönemde, siyaset düşüncesinin tarihsel gelişiminde önemli yere sahip olan siyasal düşünürler hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak ve ortaya konan siyaset ve devlet kuramlarını kronolojik ve tematik yönden inceleyip karşılaştırmaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu derste dersin amacında sözü edilen dönemdeki siyasi düşünce ekolleri ile bu ekollerin önde gelen filozofların fikirlerini irdelenecektir. Ders içeriği, öğrencilerin siyaset felsefesi ve toplumbilimlerdeki çeşitli kuramları kavramalarına ve değerlendirme yetilerinin gelişmesine olanak sağlayacak şekilde düzenlenmiştir. Bu kapsamda, dönem boyunca antik dönem uygarlıklardan günümüze kadarki süreçte insanlığın evrimi siyasal düşüncenin gelişimiyle birlikte ele alınacaktır. Derse hazırlık ve konuların ders boyunca etkileşimli olarak ele alınabilmesi için öğrencilerin haftalık programda belirtilen konu ve kaynakları inceleyerek gelmeleri son derece önemlidir.

Siyasi düşünce tarihi boyunca sürüp giden inanç, akıl, bilim ve şüphecilik arasındaki gerilimleri siyasi düşünceler tarihi filozoflarının düşüncelerinden örneklerle açıklar. (Explain )
