OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Dersin amacı, modern Ortadoğu siyasetinin, tarihsel süreçteki temel dinamiklerini incelemek ve bölge ülkelerinin/toplumlarının bölgesel ve uluslararası gelişmelere karşı geliştirdikleri politikaları/bakış açılarını genel hatlarıyla açıklamaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriği, Ortadoğu'nun siyasi, toplumsal ve ekonomik yapısı, İslamiyet'in yayılması ve Osmanlı döneminde yaşanan gelişmeler, dünya savaşları ve sonrasında bölgenin yaşadığı dönüşüm ve Soğuk Savaş'tan bugüne bölgede yaşananları kapsamaktadır.

Ortadoğu'nun modern tarihi ve bölgede "ulus devlet" sisteminin ortaya çıkışını açıklar.
Teorik bir perspektiften Ortadoğu'daki dönüşümü analiz eder.
Arap Dünyası, İran ve İsrail politikaları üzerinden Ortadoğu'daki çatışmaları yorumlar.
Ortadoğu'daki güncel meselelerde Türkiye, Rusya, Çin, Avrupa Ülkeleri ve ABD gibi bölgesel ve uluslararası güçlerin bölgeye olan yaklaşımlarını Ortadoğu'daki çıkar ilişkileri üzerinden değerlendirir.
