OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with the knowledge and skills about the basic elements of maritime transportation as in ships, ports, cargoes and seaway lines.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in basic information about transportation and seaway transportation, types of seaway transportation, code of practices of seaway transportation.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define the process of seaway transportation.
Define the parties in seaway transportation.
Plan a route according to the responsibilities and duties of the parties in the seaway transportation.
Know the basic and legal terms used in seaway.
