Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to teach the students of the psychology department for 1 semester the fundamentals about the structure, functioning and of the brain and its effect on the behaviour, psychopathology and brain functions. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include the subjects such as Neuropsychological Origins of Behaviour, Nervous System, Central Nervous System, Peripheral and Autonomous Nervous System, Brain and Basic Structures in Brain, Cerebellum and Spinal Cord Functions and Disorders, Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous System, Anticholinergic and Cholinergic System, Neuropsychological Basis of Behaviour, Neuron, Neuron Zones, Neuronal Communication, Neuromediators, Serotonin, Noradrenaline, Dopamine, Acetylcholine, Gaba, Glycine, Nitricoxide, Neuropeptides, Endocrine System-Neuropsychology Relation issues. |
