OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to teach students how to create effective teams, the functions of teams in the workplace and how to develop critical thinking skills to evaluate team processes.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course consists of the knowledge, attitudes and skills required to be effective team members, and topics related to team processes such as team characteristics, team motivation, group cohesion and group roles.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Gain critical thinking skills to evaluate group dynamics and team processes
Understand the characteristics of teams, teamwork processes, and how teams work in organizations
Develop skills to use creative problem-solving techniques by learning how to analyze problems faced by teams, including conflict, power and social influence, and leadership
Develop their ability to work effectively in groups
