OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to make use of the mathematical models to solve decision problems and their applications, to identify the correct method, to identify and to perform the necessary analyses.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include theoretical and practical teaching of the subjects such as project management, production planning and inventory control, mass production planning, stock control systems, process management and capacity planning, modelling, linear programming, optimization problems, business design, quality control, transmission model, assignment model and transfer model, project programming and control techniques-PERT/CPM, decision analysis, game theory, queuing theory, decision-making, decision-making problems, decision-making process, benefit theory, certainty, decision-making under uncertainty and risk, numerical decision-making, computer aided decision-making, computer aided problem solving and simulation.

Use optimization problems (linear programming models) as a tool for decision making.
Evaluate the resources effectively for the organization.
