OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to enable students to comprehend the current structure of "culture" as a changing concept and to analyze its reflections in media, especially through popular culture products.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include topics such as globalization, international media and cultural relations, and the main trends of international communication companies.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Show at least 3 examples on basic concepts of international communication by recognizing these concepts.
Interpret the current system by associating international communication with new media, one of the most important mediums of 21st Century.
Review privatization and liberalization policies in media companies axis.
Evaluate international communication companies through culture imperialism.
