OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce Turkish foreign policy beginning from the foundation of Turkish Republic in order to reach to independent thinking and improve aptitude for deeply evaluating foreign policy.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include factors effecting Turkish foreign policy, role of decision makers, effect of systematic factors on Turkish foreign policy, relations with the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Balkans, Causations, relations with international organizations, breaking points in foreign policy of Turkey.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Relate between ideas, thoughts, theories and approaches shaped Turkish foreign policy in a proper way
Interpret factors having effect on the formation of Turkish foreign policy
Relate for causation regarding the reasons of changes in Turkish foreign policy
Analyze historical development and basic dynamics of Turkish foreign policy by relating them with present day foreign policy
