OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı, modern siyasi akımların ortaya çıkışlarını, gelişimlerini ve toplumsal etkilerini ele alarak, günümüze yansımalarını analiz edebilecek düzeyde çağdaş siyaset düşüncesi altyapısı oluşturmaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriğini; çağdaş siyasi akımların düşünsel ve tarihsel temelleri, liberalizm, muhafazakarlık sosyalizm ve marksizm, faşizm, anarşizm, sosyal demokrasi, feminizm, kökten dincilik, yeni sağ ve sol siyasi akımlar gibi konular oluşturmaktadır.

19. ve 20. Yüzyılların siyasal yaşamı üzerindeki etkilerini anlamak üzere modern siyasi ideolojilerin ana temsilcilerinin temel kavramlarını, varsayımlarını ve fikirlerini açıklar. (Explain)
Liberalizm, muhafazakarlık, sosyalizm, milliyetçilik, anarşizm, faşizm, feminizm, kökten dincilik gibi siyasi akımların temel konuları ve kavramlarını tanımlar. (Identify)
Siyasi kavramlar ve gündelik siyasi yaşamın birbiriyle ilişkisini bağdaştırır. (Relate)
Siyasi düşünürlerin içinde yaşadığı sosyal, siyasi ve entelektüel bağlamı keşfeder. (Discover)
Batı siyasi düşüncesine katkılarını belirlemek üzere siyasi düşünürlerin etkilerini ve entelektüel mirasları üzerine sınıflandırmalar yapar. (Catogarize)
Siyaset biliminde yer alan normatif argümanların nasıl oluşturulduğunu ve gerekçelendirildiğini dönemsel olaylar ile ilişkilendirir. (Relate)
