OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to help students gain the knowledge and skill to discuss the basic organizational problems related to the management sciences, to explain the methods of analyzing the problems and to interpret the data obtained about the different study subjects related with contemporary management.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; Development of management sciences, Management and organization concepts, definitions of leadership and manager and their characteristics, Classical, neoclassical and modern management theories, Selected topics in contemporary management; Management functions: Planning, Organizing, Execution, Coordination, Auditing.

Describe the basic concepts related with management sciences.
Summarize and discuss the developmental process of management science.
Examine the functions of the management process and relate these functions with each other.
Discuss basic organizational issues related to the management sciences and explain methods for resolving problems.
Examine and interpret different study issues related to contemporary management understanding.
