OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
This course is aimed to introduce the characteristics of construction industry, the practical aspects and regulations and assist students in developing project management skills. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
The course contains the construction industry, management of construction projects, types and organization of construction firms, project life cycle, project participants, pre-bid project management activities, bidding process and contract administration, mobilization and management at site, time management in construction project management, scheduling methods, CPM method, cost management, cost estimation, quantity take-off, interim payments, control of quality during construction. |

To be able to gain knowledge in the construction industry and construction Project management. |
To be able to understand the various construction management process, activities, and project deliveries |

To be able to apply the techniques, skills, modern estimation, and scheduling methods necessary for construction practice. |
