OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to transfer the concept of sustainable building (green building) design, building materials, and technologies in parallel developments in the world for civil engineer candidates.
Contents of the Course Unit: The course covers topics related to the sustainable development of construction, such as sustainability certification systems and sustainable materials used in building materials.

To be able to recognize sustainable building materials
To be able to identify the principles of sustainable building design
To be able to apply the principles of sustainable building design
To be able to determine the economic and environmental effects of sustainable buildings and construction materials
