OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
1.Give basic information about aviation in Türkiye and the world. 2. To give basic information about airplanes, flight principles and aircraft elements. 3. To give basic information about academic and engineering ethics. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Introduction. The development of aviation in the world and Turkey. Aerostatic: Manometers, atmosphere, aerostatic transport. Forces affecting the aircraft. Streamlined transport and drag. General introduction of aircraft, aircraft types. The main elements of the aircraft. Wing, body, tail surfaces, control surfaces, power group, landing gear. Aircraft systems. Other air transportation vehicles. Academic and Engineering ethics. |

Students who successfully pass this course: To have knowledge about the development of aviation and aviation culture in the world and Turkiye
Have knowledge about the main elements and types of aircraft
Will have basic knowledge about the forces acting on the plane, aerodynamic forces and moments and the principles of the flight
Will have basic knowledge about aircraft wings, tails, excessive transportation, control and control surfaces
Have general information about aircraft body, landing gear, power and aircraft systems
Will have information about engineering ethics |
