OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
It is aimed to provide students with basic urban design concepts and skills to design the built environment, to develop an urban design strategy and to practice urban design. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
This course is a design studio where students learn basic urban design concepts and skills for designing the built environment. They will develop a design project in a designated workspace to learn how to strategically organize key urban design elements such as buildings, open spaces, streets, transportation and other infrastructure areas, taking into account socioeconomic and environmental factors. |
