OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: a. to provide information that will be useful for the creation of the theoretical basis necessary for the student to interpret and interpret all the problems of monument conservation (methods, laws) on its own and with a critical eye, b. General information on modern technical measures and restoration methods, c. It is to encourage implementation studies, but also to provide information on warning concepts, current restoration and revitalization concepts (with positive and negative examples).
Contents of the Course Unit: Evolution and theoretical bases of conservation thought; evaluation of immovable cultural assets with preserved values, protection and evaluation criteria. Identification of data forming the basis of the history of environmental protection and historical discussion of specific instances of the practice of environmental protection held in Turkey, as well as emphasis on the successful history of environmental protection examples in foreign countries, examined the different approaches on the issue, evaluation. Identification and analysis of the basic elements, qualities of the historical circle, the problems of cultural and natural beings, especially the sites. Cultural and natural entity concepts, types, definitions and examples. Content of the site protection project; inventory receipts; typologies; silhouettes; necessity of an interdisciplinary approach to sit protection. The place of typomorphology in historical environmental protection, definitions, different approaches.
