OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Within the scope of Banking Law, information is given about banking transactions and the organizational structure of banks. To provide basic information about insurance regulations.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course; Concept of Finance, Concept of Financial Intermediation, Definition of Bank and its Historical Development, Basic Concepts in Banking Law, Provisions for Deposit and Participation Fund Collection, Development and Investment Banks and Financial Holding Companies, Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of BRSA Banks Abolished and Transferred to Fund, Definition of SDIF, Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of SDIF Board, Investments, Investigations and Prosecutions, Concept of Insurance and Insurance Law, Insurance Separation and Types, Insurance Contract, Insurance Contract, Insurance Contract; topics.

Understands the legal functioning of the banking and insurance sector.
Explain the concepts of bank law.
Explain the concepts of insurance law
Knows the ethical principles to be complied with within the framework of the bank law numbered 5411.
Knows how and by whom banks are supervised.
Explain the structure, duties and functions of SDIF and BRSA as institutions and boards.
Distinguish types of insurance and basic insurance policies, characteristics of insurance contract and use concepts accordingly.
