OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | The Short Film course, which is structured on theory and application processes, aims to enable students to gain competence in both technical and art fields. With this course, students; gain competencies related to short film preparation, production and post production stages. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The students carry out their studies with the project advisors on the project topics they have determined. For short film production, pre-production and post-production processes are examined. The transformation of a main idea into a scenario is discussed. Teams develop scenarios with consultants. Domestic and foreign script writing support funds are examined. File preparation processes for film funds are explained through a sample project. The basic principles of cinema are examined and applied. Shooting script writing is explained by examining examples. Sample short fiction films are watched and analyzed. The screenplay of the selected scene of a feature film is written. Domestic and foreign production support funds are examined. File preparation processes for funds are explained through a sample project. The teams defend the film project files in the classroom. Students meet at regular intervals to develop their projects. The teams conduct the pre-shooting, shooting, post-shooting and distribution processes of a film. Teams make screenings and interviews of the films they prepare and inform their classmates and advisors about the production of the film. |
