OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to study and analyze the English texts within the framework of translation.
Contents of the Course Unit: English texts are studied in terms of semantics, philosophy, psychology, literature and social sciences in the context of discourse theory.

Understand the function of various texts in social sciences.
Learn the tools of discourse analysis in terms of translation.
Analyze texts and translate them in different contexts.
Translate texts by using discourse analysis tools.
