OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce students the similarities and differences in Turkish and English in source texts.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course covers the subjects of expectation modals, ability modals, advise modals, the degree of certainty of the modals in the past, the habit modals, the active-passive structure difference, the time differences in the passive structure, the passive structure in the modals, and the passive structures used with the verb 'get'.

Define Turkish and English grammar and usage.
Explain the differences and similarities in the language structures of Turkish and English.
Use Turkish and English structures in different contexts.
Relate the structure and syntax of Turkish and English while translating.
