OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: By eliminating the dangers in the work environment and minimizing the risks, the student can protect the employee from work accidents and occupational diseases, ensure production safety, ensure that time and personal performance are used at maximum efficiency, and all kinds of tools, equipment and machinery used in the workplace and building safety are risky. It is aimed to achieve the ability to make security audits of other elements that may keep them under control and to ensure the safety of the worker and the work environment.
Contents of the Course Unit: Occupational safety definition includes the historical development of the purpose, Occupational accidents and occupational diseases, Method in occupational safety, Occupational safety organization, Recording, evaluation and reporting of work accidents.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Will have sufficient knowledge in the field of basic sciences and the ability to use them in the solution of professional problems.
Ability to plan and implement occupational safety trainings
Ability to have sufficient knowledge about measurement techniques and methods for occupational safety and health
Ability to monitor, interpret and apply the legislation in force on occupational health and safety
Ability to apply legislation related to occupational health and safety
