OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Through learning the basic statistical concepts and package programs are intended to be able to analyze statistics.
Contents of the Course Unit: Summarizing data with certain objectives, including the analysis and interpretation of the subject and thus encompasses methods to be used in making decisions based on accurate data.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Defines the basic concepts of statistics.
Defines dependent and independent variables in regression analysis.
Defines normal, symmetrical and asymmetrical distributions.
Applies hypothesis tests for single population.
Applies hypothesis testing for population rate.
Calculates confidence intervals for parameters.
