OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To provide knowledge and attitudes regarding the importance of health conditions affecting individuals in the community and preventive health services.
Contents of the Course Unit: The concept of public health, areas of public health services, the purpose of health services, preventive health services, maternal health, child health, family planning and education, immunization, addictions, types of addiction and prevention, community nutrition, home care, school health, community mental health, infectious diseases.

Explain the general concepts in the field of public health.
Adhere to the importance of preventive health services.
Distinguish maternal and child health and family planning service areas.
Evaluate community mental health.
Explain common diseases in the community and childhood.
Relate child growth and development to public health.

Identify and classify addictions and relate them to community mental health.
