OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The importance of child, adult and community mental health, mental health and diseases, the differences between normal and problem behaviors and mental disorders in normal development, appropriate solution methods for problem behaviors and cooperation with other professional staff of the mental health discipline that can be applied when necessary, the reasons that impair mental health in children, adaptation problems and their approach.
Contents of the Course Unit: Concept and importance of psychological health, behavior and adjustment problems in childhood, child-parent relations, family attitudes and psychological theories, especially psychoanalytic theory related to such problems.
