OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge and skills regarding interventional procedures for nursing practices, the necessary knowledge and skills to care for patients and healthy individuals, the nursing care system, and practices aimed at improving the health of individuals, families and society at the highest level.
Contents of the Course Unit: Body Mechanics and Patient Movement, Principles of Body Mechanics, Body Positions, Active / Passive Movements, Skin and Self Care Activities, Cold and Hot Applications, Wound Care, Respiratory System and Applications, Upper Digestive System and Applications, Lower Digestive System and Applications, Urinary System and Applications.

Plans the patient's movement in accordance with movement and body mechanics.
Makes hot and cold applications.
Applies nursing interventions appropriate to the technique in diagnosis and treatment of respiratory system.
Makes appropriate nursing interventions in upper and lower digestive system applications.
Applies nursing interventions appropriate to the technique in urinary system applications.
Makes skin and self-care applications.
Applies wound care.
