OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the psychosocial profile of individuals with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities, impairments, or disorders, to comprehend the factors affecting the psychosocial process, and to develop the knowledge and attitude necessary to guide rehabilitation programs while considering psychosocial problems encountered in clinical practice.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course covers topics such as introduction to psychosocial rehabilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation after accidents, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and coping strategies, psychosocial rehabilitation in individuals with visual and hearing impairments, psychosocial rehabilitation in individuals with physical disabilities, psychosocial rehabilitation for children with disabilities and their families, and psychosocial rehabilitation in chronic diseases.
