OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Öğrenciye sosyolojik bir bakış açısı kazandırmak, öğrencinin sosyoloji ve yaşlılık ilişkisini anlamasını sağlamaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Sosyoloji biliminin ortaya çıkışı, öncüleri, nesnesi, diğer bilimlerle ilişkisine ek olarak sosyoloji ve gerontoloji ilişkisi; temel sosyolojik kavramlar; tarihsel süreçte toplumsal dönüşüm ve yaşlılığın bu dönüşümdeki yeri; gelişmişlik-azgelişmişlik teorileri ve dünyada ve Türkiye’de yaşlılığın yeri konuları bulunmaktadır.

Sosyoloji bilimi hakkında temel bilgiye sahip olur ve toplumsal olay ve olguları açıklar

Yaşlılıkta ortaya çıkan olguları ve sorunları yaşlıların ait olduğu toplumun toplumsal yapısı ışığında yorumlar.
Yaşlılığın da dahil olduğu toplumsal olgu ve sorunları bütüncül olarak değerlendirir
Dünya’da ve Türkiye’de yaşlılıkla ilgili toplumsal olay ve olguları sosyolojik bakış açısıyla analiz eder ve çözüm üretir.
