Objectives of the Course Unit: | With this lesson; It aims to enable students to take an effective and correct approach to language and speech disorders and to gain the principles of therapy. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The course covers the normal biological and neurological components of the speech mechanism, counseling related to speech and language assessment, the etiology and characteristics of speech and language disorders, and the areas of language, articulation, fluency, and resonance. It also includes the cognitive and social aspects of communication, appropriate formal and informal assessment methods for neurological disorders and swallowing disorders, as well as topics related to initiating and terminating therapy. |
