OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: With this lesson; It aims to enable students to take an effective and correct approach to language and speech disorders and to gain the principles of therapy.
Contents of the Course Unit: Normal biological and neurological components of the speech mechanism, Consultancy regarding Language-Speech evaluation, Etiology and characteristics of language and speech disorders, Language-Articulation-Fluency-Resonance, Cognitive and social aspects of communication, Formal and informal evaluation methods suitable for neurological disorders and swallowing disorders, It includes topics on starting and ending therapy.

Explains the normal biological and neurological components of the speech mechanism and features of language and speech to make a differential diagnosis.
Explains cultural, prevention and counseling issues related to assessment.
Explains the etiology and characteristics of language and speech disorders.
Explains cultural, prevention and counseling issues related to assessment. appropriate formal and informal assessment measures/procedures for language, articulation, fluency, resonance, cognitive and social aspects of communication, neurological and swallowing disorders.
