OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge and attitudes related to the selection of hearing aids, hearing aid adjustments, the subjects that are important in setting up the hearing aids, patient follow-up with the hearing aids and the counseling to be given to the family.
Contents of the Course Unit: Description and history of hearing aids, technical specifications of hearing aids, hearing aid earmold, features and care, hearing instrument indication criteria in children, device selection, applications and adjustments, auxiliary hearing aids, recommendations for device users and their families.

Studies the developments related to hearing aid technology.
Performs the hearing aid work and process steps for mold properties and maintenance.
Performs the business and process steps about hearing aid applications for children.
Proposes to device users.
Describes the criteria for indication of hearing aids in children.
Describes the follow-up and evaluation process of the pediatric patient using a hearing aid.
