OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to help students gain the information and skills to perform choreography with rhythmic gymnastics instruments, to make movement analysis specific to the subject, to make combinations from different technical movements and to prepare the series for the minors category.
Contents of the Course Unit: The contents of the course include contest rules specific to rhythmic gymnastics, Classification of body movements, Special training methods, Specific warm-up methods, Bouncing exercises, Balance and coordination exercises, Force exercises, Flexibility exercises, Rope techniques and choreography exercises with rope, Hoop techniques and choreography exercises with hoope , Pivot exercises, Music knowledge, Rhythm studies, Music selection, Choreography studies.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the basic information about rhythmic gymnastics terminology, historical process and branch discipline.
Explain the rules of Rhythmic Gymnastics and apply these.
Apply the specific basic techniques at an advanced level.
Teach specific basic techniques.
Show the movements by symbols expressing specific techniques.
Apply choreography with rhythmic gymnastics instruments.
Analyze specific movements.
Create different combinations of technical movements and prepare the series for the minor category.
