OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to help students gain the knowledge and skills to make game selection for the muscle groups or basic motor skills to be developed according to the characteristics and implementation forms of the educational games designed for the individuals with different characteristics and age groups and to examine the effects of educational games on motion development.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include concepts related to games and educational games, classification, planning and application of educational games and educational games about basic motor features.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define basic concepts related to game and educational game.
Label educational games according to game characters.
Explain the development process of game in Turkey and the world and explain its importance.
Apply educational game activities that will support the development of technical skills specific to the sport.
Apply educational game activities designed for individuals with different characteristics and age groups.
Examine the effects of educational games on the development of movement.
Choose game for the muscle groups or basic motor skills to be developed according to the characteristics and implementation with different characteristics and age groups.
