OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with the ability to apply the basic rules of news gathering process and the basic techniques of news writing process.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include various stages of news production, particularly journalist identity, working conditions, definitions of news, types of news, finding a news idea and writing news.

Describe professional terminology on journalism and news production.
Differentiate news types in different mediums.
Calculate the news value of the surrounding events.
Write news at simple level.
