OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to provide the students with the competence to comprehend the relationship between the social, economic and political developments in the world and in Turkey. It aims to make sense of the globalizing world and media connections and analyse them. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include the general definition of media, the mass media tools, functions, processes and impacts, development of press in the world and in Turkey, photography and the history of cinema, radio broadcasting history, development of television in interaction with radio and cinema, public broadcasting and private broadcasting notions, monitoring in media, international conventions and organizations, globalizing media in Turkey, development of public relations and advertising, the internet revolution and its effects in Turkey. |
