OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to inform students about the production methods and properties of composite materials seen as an alternative to metal materials.
Contents of the Course Unit: Matrix materials, fibers, stress-strain relations, Stress transfer continuity, Elastic properties of continuous fiber reinforced composites, Elastic properties of fiber reinforced composites with short fiber reinforced and randomly oriented, Elastic properties of orthotropic laminate, Elastic properties of multilayer composite, Fiber-matrix interface, Strength of composites, Toughness of composites, Production of composites. .
