OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the cours is to explain the concept of public opinion with its historical backgroung, to reveal the various approaches on the relationship of public opinion and the media and the public opinion and to evaluate the public opinion-media relationship critically regarding to public opinion surveys.
Contents of the Course Unit: The scope of the course is the concept of public opinion, its historical background, the fundamental approaches to the concept of public opinion, the relationship between media and public opinion, various approaches on media and public opinion, and the public opinion surveys.
