OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
This course aims to provide the students with the historical, institutional and structural information about Turkey's economy and to analyze the basic features and current problems of Turkey's economy. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Contents of the course include the process and concepts such as National Economy, statism, liberal adaptation, import substitution period, outward capital sovereignty period, financialisation and hot money sovereignty. |

Explain the developments in the economy of Turkey as of the late Ottoman period to the present day. |
Analyze the liberal policies and economic developments in detail. |
Evaluate general economic problems and specific issues of Turkish Economy. |
Compare the economic and political development in Turkey and make a comparative analysis. |
