Objectives of the Course Unit: | The course aims to introduce students to the possibilities of alternative media claiming to be the voice of those who cannot be heard in the mainstream media and to provide students with the knowledge to answer the question of how an alternative journalism practice can be established against the mainstream media's problematic structure. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The course, in providing historical and theoretical information about alternative media, includes alternative journalism approaches such as rights-oriented journalism, citizen journalism, and peace journalism. |
