OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to teach the students the Logistics information systems, to be aware of the logistics software technologies, to know the advanced planning systems (APS) and to be able to manage the implementation projects.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as basic concepts and components of logistics information systems; automatic identification systems (Barcode and other); RFID Systems; project management and practises; real-time positioning systems and applications; logistics software technologies and decision support systems; basic concepts of advanced planning systems.

Describe the basic concepts of logistics information systems.
Analyze the process of project management and applications.
Analyze logistics software technologies and decision support systems.
