OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce basic concepts in logistics, historical development in logistics, analysis of logistics work processes, logistics systems and services, national and international logistics applications.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include, historical process in logistics, goals and benefits in the management of logistics, storage, transport, stock management, customer services, student, departments in logistics, international and national logistics concepts and differences between, points to consider in firm selection in the logistics service procurement, logistics management and transportation modes.

Define basic concepts and principles in logistics.
