OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to teach the students the customs regulations and the basic customs regulations and applications, especially the Customs Law No. 4458 and the secondary legislation.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as customs legislation and customs tariff concept, compliance of the legislation on tariffs with technical legislation within the framework of international agreements, classification of goods, GTIP code, the origin of the goods and the value of the goods.

Explain the scope and purpose of Customs Law.
Explain the importance of Turkish Customs Tariffs within the framework of Customs Law.
Evaluate the identification and determination of the section, chapter, sub-position of the goods subject to trade.
Explain how Turkish Customs tariff schedule is applied in legislation.
Explain the importance of Turkish Customs tariff schedule in terms of taxes.
